Our Story:
Manar Academy began its journey in 2024 with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between academic rigor and a faith-centered life. We started with just 13 students across Grades 1 through 4, united by a shared vision of an education that nurtures both the mind and the soul. Our school was built on the belief that a child’s religious identity and academic success can flourish together.
This year, we are thrilled to be expanding! Manar Academy now welcomes students from Junior Kindergarten all the way to Grade 6, and our community has grown to over 30 students. This year, we continue to operate at the Islamic Center of Kingston mosque, with high hopes of having our own school building next year inshallah .
Our journey has been one of determination, perseverance, and optimism. Each year, we strive to grow—not just in numbers, but in the quality of education, the strength of our community, and the impact we make on the lives of our students. We are excited for the future and committed to creating a thriving learning environment that nurtures both knowledge and character.
While our Islamic ummah faces challenges today, at Manar Academy we believe that by planting healthy seeds now, we are nurturing bright, capable, and principled leaders of tomorrow—individuals who will strengthen the Muslim community and contribute positively to society at large.
